Twitter launched Vine, a mobile application that allows its users to post videos up within 6 seconds. Probably they made a calculation, and the 140 characters they have converted to 6 seconds of video.
The app is currently only available for iPhone and iPod, is free, you can upload an unlimited number of clips in the limit of 6 seconds per clip, you can interact with your friends on Vine and post clips both on Twitter and Facebook.
