Google has set up an experimental internet network capable of transfer speeds up to 1 Gb per second, 100 times the speed used until now.
The network is still in beta in Silicon Valley and enables a network download speed of 300 Mbps and 150 Mbps and is also known as the fastest internet network in the world.
Thus, according to tests, a 95 MB movie trailer was downloaded in about 9 seconds. The classic internet speed is up to 13 Mbps.
The new service introduced by Google with a more advanced optical fiber is already in place for over a month in Palo Alto, California.
