Higher Retina display, but not wider


The new Apple smartphone finally arrives with a display with a larger diagonal. It is a 4-inch Retina display, resolution 1136 x 640 pixels, 326 ppi, a screen that keeps the width of 4S display, but increased height, resulting in a more easier usage with one hand. In comparison, the iPhone 4S had a 3.5 inch screen, 640 x 960 pixels and 330 ppi.

Powerful A6 processor


iPhone 5 has a bigger screen which needs a more powerful processor - the new A6 chip. Apple did not provide many details about the configuration of A6, but it offers almost double CPU and GPU performance compared to the A5 processor on the iPhone 4S. Energy efficiency was also improved.

Faster 8 megapixel camera, with new features


iPhone 4S impressed through the iSight 8 megapixel camera pictures that offered extremely good for a smartphone. iPhone 5 camera comes with an even better, with 25% smaller and 40% faster with a more resistant sapphire crystal lens, panorama mode that captures images up to 28MP, enhanced stabilization and face detection for video. The front camera is now a FaceTime HD 1.2MP, with video recording capabilities of 720p.
