Google Maps updated with better navigation, integration Earth and suggestions

On the first day of the conference Google I / O, the company presented the changes that Google Maps will pass. According to official statements, the update is the largest since the service launch in 2005, and it will be found both in the browser interface and applications for mobile platforms.

 One major change is switching to full vector maps, which are used by versions for phones and tablets almost two years, but have only now come to the web version. This change promises superior performance during loading and resizing and better visibility for the smaller details such as side streets, but for the benefit of all this, the user will need to use WebGL accelerated version.




The transition to vector maps, Google Maps will use the Google Earth data, enabling users to admire a 3D environment more complex than currently offered, which includes important buildings and images within them.

Web interface has gone through major changes, it now seemed an application rather than a Web page. It takes the already known Cards to make relevant data more visible, integrates results and scores given by friends of various points of interest, integrate natively with information gathered from Google+ provides rich additional information, such as work programs or traffic area.

 Applications for mobile terminals and they will get an update, their interface will be more airy. On this occasion, Google has announced that it will upgrade to the opportunity and iOS app, which will be compatible with iPad tablets.
