Yesterday, on 1 August, Nokia announced it's latest smartphone, Nokia 500, a low-cost smartphone with touchscreen and a powerfull processor.
Nokia 500 comes with the latest Symbian Anna OS, 1 GHz processor and 2 GB storage capacity, but can be extended up to 32 GB. It has a 3.2 inch capacitive display with a screen resolution of 640 x 360 pixels.
Nokia 500 is equipped with radio, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi b/g, 3G HSUPA. The phone weight is only 93 grams and it measures 111.3 x 53.8 x 14.1 mm, making it lighter than all the others Symbian OS phones so far.
The phone comes from factory with 2GB internal memory which can be increased by adding a micro SD card up to 32GB.
According to Nokia the phone battery can provide between 5 and 7 days of conversation, 450 hours in standby or up to 35 hours of music playback.
Although the phone is equipped with a powerful 1GHz processor, Nokia 500 is only an entry-level smartphone wich will be sold for approximately €150 without taxes.
