An American researcher has found two possible pyramids in Egypt, after having studied for ten years, Google Earth images.
Micol Angela pointed to two areas along the Nile basin, to around 150 kilometers away from each other, which contain unusual triangular shapes.
One of the sites is in northern Egypt, only 18 kilometers from the city of Abu Sidhum, on the banks of the Nile, and the other pyramid is near Fayoum oasis.
It remains to be seen whether the form of relief, with one side about 600 meters is really a pyramid.
"The images speak for themselves. It's very obvious what the sites may contain, but field research is needed to verify they are, in fact, pyramids." said Micol, to post SkyNews.
It would not be the first archaeological discovery made with Google Earth. In May 2011, the American Egyptologist Sarah Parcak identified 17 lost pyramids.
